The hotel itself is all right. In the end I told them that I would call the Chinese police hotline btw, , but their response was that the police was their friends.
And if you get aggressive, their response will be brutal be aware! Their hotel accommodation prices are decent, but walking by the the "great wall of pimps" to get there is not so pleasant. Our Asian meeting was decided to be in China, and our Chinese colleagues set us up with this hotel. What a wonderful place.
The lobby is gorgeously done up.. The room was functional The view was of the Pudong skyline The conference rooms were nice, with good support staff.
The restaurant and bar in the lobby was also a great place to hang out. Overall, a superb 5 star hotel, at not so high costs but, I did travel during the recession! Great location, friendly staff clean tidy had a great stay would recommend. This hotel was excellent. Service was very good, food in the restaurant was good, it was spic-and-span clean, and it was easy to get around in. The breakfast buffet was superb.
The location is close to the bund, but it is further away from the interesting parts of Shanghai, which tend to be on the other side of the river. However, you don't need to be deterred by this fact; the hotel will give you a card with all of the sites recorded in Mandarin and in English just point to the text and you will be taken there , and taxis are quite cheap.
