The street is very quaint. The street is fairly narrow and filled with shops. If you are looking If you are looking for restaurants then choose another street. A narrow street in the historical center of Maastricht that over the years has become the main shopping area in the city. Not really very interesting anymore, since most shops offer clothing and shoes. When you're looking for some streets with more variety just take left or a right or cross the river to the Wyck area. We followed the recommendation and were very impressed by the small lane, a perfect combination between traditions and modern life. Shopping is not high on my list of things to do when I travel as I am much more interested in the history of a place. However the Stokstraat satisfies that part of my travel experience.

The shops are boutiques rather than well known chain stores so the shop windows A nice area, very picturesque with a large variety of shops.
