This edition, number twenty-six, arouses the same interest than the previous ones, although it has the responsibility of knowing that the goal is always to be better. Opening new offices in each town to get permissions, locations catalogues, tax deductions and supporting different festivals are some of the activities we are committed to within the framework of the public policies aimed at promoting creative industries. And apart from what the critics and the jury can discern, the important thing is that thousands of cinema lovers will have the chance, as they passionately do every year, to judge by themselves.

The city receives us with full participation of its authorities, its professionals and the extraordinary will of its people to make a Festival genuinely from Mar del Plata for the entire country and for the world, together with the Cinema and Audiovisual Arts National Institute and the Buenos Aires Province Cultural Institute.
Our Mar del Plata receives once again the best filmmakers, producers and actors from the whole world, exhibiting an international mosaic that shines for its diversity, for its daring, for its compromise. Countless stories, which converge, and because of being local, personal, they become universal.
This is our Festival, the one we can and want to do, the one we are proud of. The one that makes it possible that our audience massively fill the halls to be moved, to laugh, to cry and to think themselves as a country. Our country, Argentina, which is reflected today in the hopeful screens, building future.
In this sense, we spread public policies of federal development, such as starting up the Promotion Plan to the Production of Contents for Public Digital Television, giving a new dimension to the map of audiovisual contents production.
